Government Affairs Committee
The Baltimore County Chamber of Commerce
Government Affairs Committee is instrumental in the development
and implementation of the Chamber's legislative agenda. The
committee meets monthly to formulate the Chamber's annual policy
agenda, and weekly during the 90-day Maryland General Assembly
session.
In addition, a wide variety of experts on topics of importance
to the business community visit the committee.
The committee is chaired by Cliff Ishmael, Strategic H.R.

Manages the Chamber's role in promoting economic
revitalization programs and initiatives for Baltimore County

policy that affects the business climate
in the County and the region

content of the Chamber's policy on
health care and insurance issues from
the standpoint of business.

Taxation
Advises the committee on all
aspects of state and local tax laws and
policies, as well as monitoring
legislation affecting the fiscal health
of Baltimore County and the region
